The wood is full of beautiful trees like purple and yellow ipês (Brazilian trees of the genus Tabebuia with purple and yellow flowers) jequitibás (tree of the genus Cariniana) and even jacarandas.

The scenery enchants even those that are used to it. People say that Dona Beja herself used to stroll through the woods when she wanted to go to the local fountains.
